Installation Information

Detailed below are some of the common methods for installing fonts.

Installation for Macintosh OSX
Without Font Management
Drag the fonts into the Fonts folder within the Library folder.

With Font Management
All management software will differ slightly, but most will allow you to simply drag your new fonts into the application to be activated.

If you’re looking for a great font management tool that also happens to be free, we highly suggest FontExplorer X from Linotype.
Installation for Macintosh OS 9 and earlier
Without Font Management
Quit open applications and drag the fonts into the Fonts folder within the System Folder.

With Font Management
If you’re using Adobe Type Manager Deluxe or Suitcase please refer to the instructions included with the software.

Windows & PC Installation
PostScript Windows XP and Windows 2000 Installation
Unless you are using a font utility (such as Adobe ATM Deluxe), both XP and 2000 do not require any special software to display and manage fonts. Simply drag your new fonts into the Fonts folder located in the Control Panel.

PostScript Windows ME, 98 and 95 Installation
To use PostScript fonts you will need to have Adobe Type Manager (available from the Adobe web site). Once in in ATM, click “Select Fonts” to add your new fonts. Further information for PC ATM support can be referenced in the instructions provided with the software.

Windows True Type Installation (Bryant only)
True Type fonts work with all versions of the Windows operating system. Simply drag the fonts into the Fonts folder located in the Control Panel.
